A little disappointed!

Overall

I rented this house as I had visited it a few years ago and at that time, it had been kept up very well. However, when we arrived, we could tell that this house had not been upgraded or repaired as it should have been in awhile. The wood beside the dishwasher in the kitchen was rotten, the shower door in the master bath upstairs was broken and you could not close the shower doors all the way, there was a hole in the master bedroom door. Also the pictures online were a bit misleading. It shows a rocking chair on the front porch and a big round table and those things were not there. It also states on the website that there is 1 1/2 baths downstairs and there is not. The house, on the whole, is a nice beach house and has a great view and is close to the pier. We did also have an issue with the upstairs air conditioner, but it was immediately taken care of. Because of the very high price that this house rents for in the middle of the summer, I believe that the property owners would want it to be in better condition. I would not rent this house again. The rental agency, however, is a great place to rent from. They do a very good job.

With a few updates and additions, would probably stay there again.

Overall

We enjoyed that the house was so close to Garden City Pier. The windows on the main floor provided great views of the ocean. We were disappointed in that there was very limited seating on both porches. Very cheap stackable plastic chairs available (2 upstairs and 3 downstairs) No table to sit even a cup of coffee provided on the downstairs porch, and the one on the upstairs porch had a broken leg and was unusable. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Layout of the house was great and with some easy updates would possibly stay there again.

'We were fortunate to have the opportunity to stay in this lovely beach home. It was very comfortable and in a great location. The upper, covered porch was a perfect location for reading. We had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend it.'
